How to Care for Seagrass and Teak

Routine Maintenance of Seagrass
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and heat.
- Dust regularly with a dry clean cloth.
- Dry thoroughly and place in a well-ventilated area.
- Humid conditions could lead to mildew growth.
Spot Treatment
- Do not use a wet cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive water.
Routine Maintenance of Teak
- Sponge product with the foam of a mild water and dishwashing liquid mixture. Over time, the timber absorbs the soap, building a natural resistance to marks. This treatment does not guarantee against stains.
- Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Avoid letting water stand on the surface of teak furniture.
- Natural temperature changes may cause slight movement. Fine cracks, knots and tonal variation are part of the timber’s natural character.

Inherent variations in the fibre, as well as subtle differences from the hand-weaving process, are natural characteristics of abaca. These variations are celebrated, as each piece is unique and no two items are the same. Teak has an abundance of natural oils, making it durable and suitable for outdoor conditions.
