This vase was handmade in Poland. Poland is widely recognized as one of the premier glass making areas in the world. “Hand/Mouth blown” is the basic method used by Polish artists which have made the area famous for it’s creative and high-quality art glass.
Raw material sourced and produced in Poland is placed in a kiln where it is melted at extremely high temperatures and then moulded by highly skilled artisans to their desired shape.
They worked hard to polish their skills to uniformity and precision but even so each creation is as individual as the maker. Until today men and women stand in front of the glaring heat of furnaces with a blowpipe in hand and vision in their heads, ready to bring form to the molten liquid before them with their breath and a few tools, roughly the same tools that were used over two thousand years ago.
