How to Care for Fabric Sofas
Crafted to last, our curated collection of fabrics have been intentionally selected to tell the story of craft and longevity. Below are a few guidelines to ensure your piece retains its inert characteristics and continues to tell the story of your home:
Routine Maintenance
- Dress seams to keep them aligned and neat.
- Cushion fillings settle, and foam seats soften over time. Regular maintenance and avoiding overuse of the same area will minimise this effect.
- Professional treatment may be undertaken using dry or low-moisture methods only. Hot water extraction or steam cleaning is not recommended.
Spot Treatment
- Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth. Avoid rubbing. Use an upholstery shampoo or dry-cleaning solvent specifically designed for furniture.
- Use a slightly damp cloth for cleaning and always test on a small, inconspicuous area first. Do not saturate the fabric.
- Dust or lightly vacuum regularly to prevent damage. .
- Apply Fabritect for invisible, protective coating against spills and soils.
Important to Note
Exposure to sunlight, UV and heat can cause fading, discolouration and damage to the upholstery.
