How to Care for Loom and Teak
Crafted to last, our curated collection of dining chairs has been intentionally selected to tell the story of craft and longevity. Below are a few guidelines to ensure your piece retains its inert characteristics and continues to tell the story of your home:
Routine Maintenance of Loom
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and heat.
- Dust regularly with a dry clean cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scrubbing brushes.
Spot Treatment
- Do not use a wet cloth.
- Immediately blot spills with a dry clean cloth.
- Use a soft brush or vacuum with a low-suction upholstery attachment to remove dust and debris.
Routine Maintenance of Teak
- Sponge product with the foam of a mild water and dishwashing liquid mixture. Over time, the timber absorbs the soap, building a natural resistance to marks. This treatment does not guarantee against stains.
- Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Avoid letting water stand on the surface of Teak furniture.
- Avoid placing it directly on carpets.
- Teak has an abundance of natural oils, making it durable and suitable for outdoor conditions.
Important to Note
Inherent variations in the fibre, as well as subtle differences from the hand-weaving process, are natural characteristics of loom. These variations are celebrated, as each piece is unique and no two items are the same. Fine cracks, knots and tonal variation are part of the timber’s natural character.
