The Damara Collection

The new Damara collection is more than just a collaboration of creative spirits. Designed by Anna Weylandt and graphic designer Anelle Mostert, each piece in this exquisitely engraved walnut veneer range goes through 120 pairs of hands before completion — a true labour of love.

While the form is decidedly clean and contemporary, the graphic engraving is inspired by the strong, primitive forms of the1930s Bauhaus movement and circular ethnic patterns of Africa. Other handcrafted details include natural clear oil finishes, a polyurethane black coating on the solid oak frame that showcases the natural grain, and push-to-open mechanisms on the doors. But to fully appreciate the quality of this competitively priced collection, it’s best to run your hands over it yourself.
