How to Care for Munggur Wood and Steel
Crafted to last, our curated collection of dining tables has been intentionally selected to tell the story of craft and longevity. Below are a few guidelines to ensure your piece retains its inert characteristics and continues to tell the story of your home:
Routine Maintenance of Munggur Wood
- Use our maintenance oil annually to nourish the finish.
- Changes in temperature and humidity can cause expansion and contraction of the timber, resulting in cracks.
- Always use coasters on tabletops.
Spot Treatment
- Immediately blot spills to avoid moisture penetration.
- Dust regularly and wipe with a slightly damp cotton cloth.
- Do not use any harsh chemicals to clean the timber surface.
Routine Maintenance of Steel
- Dust regularly and do not rub, scratch or scour.
- Wash the surface with warm, soapy water and a lint-free cloth or soft sponge. If the product is in a seawater environment, do this weekly as salt deposits can damage the finish.
- Avoid letting water stand on the surface of your furniture.
Important to Note
Munggur is suitable for outdoor use. However, the wood will weather and go sun-grey over time. Avoid placing Munggur products directly on carpets. The timber’s high moisture content can damage and stain the carpet fibre. Steel can rust if the powder coating has been damaged or chipped.
