Sourced in India by Chris and Anna Weylandt, the Unique Planter is a one-of-a-kind piece shaped by history, ritual, and hand-worked form. Originally used in Nagaland during the early 20th century as a traditional rice grinder, each vessel was hand-carved from solid Wood to mill rice for daily sustenance and ceremonial brewing. Deeply hollowed interiors, softened edges, and layered markings speak to years of communal use, where grain was ground by hand through generations of gathering and ritual.

Rich in texture and irregularity, each planter reveals the natural character of the timber through weathered contours, worn cavities, and a deeply aged patina. No two are alike, each carrying the quiet imprint of craftsmanship, utility, and time.
