Crafted to last, our curated collection of Swakara Wool has been intentionally selected to tell the story of craft and longevity. Below are a few guidelines to ensure your piece retains its inert characteristics and continues to tell the the story of your home:
Routine Maintenance
- Gently fluff the fibres by hand once removed from packaging.
- Use a soft brush, brushing very lightly to lift and revive the surface.
- For wood use a microfiber cloth or soft upholstery brush is perfect for quick touch-ups.
Spot Treatment
- Attend to spills immediately.
- Blot gently and avoid rubbing the surface.
- To refresh and naturally deodorise protein fibres: Mix ¼ vinegar to ¾ water in a 750–1000ml spray bottle.
- Add 20 drops of lavender essential oil.
- Lightly mist the surface. Do not saturate.
- Allow to air-dry, preferably in sunlight.
Important to Note
Wool naturally contains Lanolin which acts as a natural scotch guard. As our fibres are not scoured, this protective coating remains intact, serving as a natural stain and moisture repellent.
With thoughtful care, these pieces will continue to evolve in texture and character, reflecting a life well lived and materials treated with respect.
Amber-stained Oak
- Immediately blot spills to avoid moisture penetration.
- Dust regularly and wipe with a slightly damp cotton cloth.
- Do not use any harsh chemicals to clean the timber surface.
- Always use coasters on timber tabletops.
