How to Care for Rattan, Fabric and Iron

Routine Maintenance of Rattan
- Gently wipe with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust and surface dirt.
- For corners and crevices, use a soft brush or a vacuum with a brush attachment.
- Wipe spills immediately and dry the surface thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and heat, as this can cause discolouration and brittleness.
- Keep away from rain and excessive moisture, which may cause warping and staining.
- If used outdoors, rattan furniture must be placed under cover in a sheltered area.
Spot Treatment
- For light stains, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately.
- Avoid soaking the material or using excessive water.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scrubbing pads.
- If cracks appear over time, apply a small amount of linseed oil with a soft cloth to help rehydrate the material. Allow it to absorb fully and wipe away any excess.
Routine Maintenance of Fabric
- Dust or lightly vacuum regularly to prevent damage.
- Dress seams to keep them aligned and neat.
- Apply Fabritect for invisible, protective coating against spills and soils.
- Consider annual professional cleaning for optimal maintenance.
