Mezcal Tea Light

Handmade in the Philippines, the Mezcal Tea Light is a sculptural object that bridges heritage, craft, and contemporary design. Its form, inspired by stacked hockey pucks, is engraved with patterns drawn from traditional Kalinga tattoo marks. These symbols celebrated a warrior’s victories and were lovingly recorded on clay vessels by their wives. Each piece is shaped by skilled Tarlaqueño and Pampangueño artisans using locally sourced terracotta clay from the rivers flowing from Kalinga to Victoria, Tarlac. The result is a vessel that carries both the depth of Philippine cultural history and the clarity of modern design.
