The Marconi
APRIL 2019

Weylandts has always been about clean, contemporary design complemented by the raw, authentic textures of nature. No other product epitomises this better than the iconic Marconi. Conceptualised as the quintessential Weylandts sofa, the Marconi is bold, authentic and extremely comfortable. ​

Unfortunately, the limited-edition Marconi in taupe leather is now SOLD OUT.
However, the iconic Marconi is still available in natural in graphite, natural caramel and crazyhorse desert leather at the normal retail price.

With natural full-grain leather in a full aniline dye finish which preserves the hide’s natural look and markings, a solid wood frame, and high-quality deep padding, this sofa is made to last for decades to come. ​

Terms for Special

Ts & Cs: Due to high demand, expect delayed delivery times of up to 10 weeks. Because each hide is unique, the colour of the leather may differ slightly from the image shown. Branding marks, wrinkles and scarring may be visible on the leather and is part of the authentic character of the hide. Available until 30 April or while stocks last. Weylandts reserves the right to alter Ts & Cs.

THE FEEL OF NATURAL WOOD

Apart from the solid oak framework, top-quality natural oak veneer is used to give the Spati an organic, natural look that is pleasant to the touch. Finished with a smooth, matte water-based coating, the wood’s natural look and markings are retained for added character.

The Spati is made locally by experienced artisans educated in the art of carpentry. Each element, including the sturdy frame and functional low backboard, is produced with the aid of the best available technology and hand-finished to perfection as a matter of pride.

MODERNIST DESIGN

How To Assemble

PARTS

Assembly is included with delivery but should you wish to assemble your own bed, here is a guide.

 

Step 1

Screw READY-BOLT (part 6) into the bush in the panel frame.

STEP 2

Attach the panel frame to the side rail using the DOWEL (part 4) and push the ready-bolt through the HALFMOON (part 3) and the NUT (part 1)​.

STEP 3

Screw READY-BOLT (part 6) into the bush in the panel frame.

STEP 4

Fasten the nut using a spanner.

STEP 5

Unscrew the mattress slats BASE LEGS (part 5) to the desired height and screw it to the mattress slat.

STEP 6

Insert the slat into the assembled bed.

STEP 7

Insert the CAPS (part 2) into the  holes. Place your mattress and start dreaming.

The Split table’s most recognisable feature is the slit running through the middle, splitting the oak veneer top in two and allowing a glimpse of the steel structure underneath. The steel legs are both masculine and minimalist — creating a bold contemporary table that’s bound to be part of many a stylish home for years to come.

FORGED IN STEEL

Made locally by our experienced craftsmen, we have extensive control over the quality of each table. Forged in solid steel, the angular legs do not take up a lot of space but provide a very stable base, while the oak veneer tops are made according to the highest standards of craftsmanship, ensuring a finish that’s smooth to the touch.
