Flashes of Brilliance

THE BURNISHED PRECIOUS METALS TREND

When it comes to my home, I’ve never been much of a fan of the flashy stuff. I personally prefer natural, earthy tones over the bright and burnished. However, I’ll make an exception for copper – one metal that outshines all the rest.

And I’m not alone. The fashion’s industry’s obsession shows no sign of losing its lustre. Metallic fabrics, exotic hand-worked jewellery and adventurous sculptural shapes all form part of this season’s metal must-haves.

Whether it’s hammered and handworked or blackened and burnished, the low glow of aged metal instantly adds a warm, intimate aesthetic to a room. For maximum impact, try introducing small flashes against a neutral shade. Your interiors will shine, no matter what the time of day.
