Shanghai Chair (Cow Hide)

This Shanghai Chair is based on designs by Hans Wegner, one of the most innovative and prolific of all Danish Furniture designers that made mid-century Danish Design internationally popular.

 

Hair on hide should not be exposed to direct sunlight or consistent UV light as discolouration andfading will result. Regular dusting and occasional vacuum with a soft brush is recommended. Dab spills with an absorbent cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and hard rubbing. For Stubborn marks - consult professional cleaners. Wipe wood daily with a cotton cloth to remove dust. Avoid harsh soaps and chemicals. Sponge with a mild solution of water and soap (dish washing liquid). Using mostly thefoam is recommended. This soapy solution will give the surface a patina in the old-fashioned way.Over time the wood will absorb more of the soap making the furniture repellent to marks and staining. These care suggestions however may not be considered as a guarantee against stains.
