Teak
Wipe daily with a slightly damp cotton cloth to remove dust. Allow to air dry. Never use harsh chemicals to clean spots and spills. Wipe immediately to avoid moisture penetrating the wood. The timber can be cleaned with water and soap, this will give the surface a patina in the old-fashionedway. Frequent washing with the soap solution will increase the surface resistance. Over time the wood will absorb more and more soap making the piece more repellent to marks or staining. Avoid sharp objects or dropping heavy items onto the wood as it will cause dents and scratches.
