Go for glamour with a new Indian collection from Weylandts
Wednesday 4th MarchThe Indian aesthetic – a combination of colonial opulence and exotic embellishment - provides a wealth of inspiration for Weylandts. The latest release of product from India bolsters the Weylandts Indian collection and focuses on European-inspired pieces with a retro feel and a touch of the unexpected.
“Indian décor is a reflection of the multiculturism and vibrancy of the Indian people and it is full of fascinating contrasts,” says Chris Weylandt, founder and owner of Weylandts Homestores.
In the latest collection, tactile cowhide upholstery and gleaming moc croc leather finish off contemporary stainless steel designs beautifully. Each unique item has been hand-picked by Chris Weylandt on his travels to India.
“This range meets a need for furniture which has real panache,” adds Weylandt. “It’s glamorous and a little glitzy – a playful complement to the traditionally understated Weylandts look.”
Highlights from the range include:
Cross console: Eye-catching with a clean, timeless design, this console is made from stainless steel with criss-cross legs and has a glass top. An attractive and utilitarian piece for the bedroom, dining room or entrance hall. Retail price: R7 495.
