Company Policy
Deliveries and Collections
No deliveries or collections will be scheduled until the payment for the product has been settled in full.
Weylandts Distribution Centre will contact the customer to arrange delivery on any week day between the hours of 09h00 and 16h00. No deliveries will be made during weekends or public holidays. Should a special delivery be requested, a 30% levy on the full delivery fee will be charged.
The person receiving the items will be required to sign the POD, indicating that each item has been received in good condition.
Weylandts cannot be held liable under its guarantee policy for any damages that were not indicated on the POD/Collection Note by the Customer.
Where Weylandts is responsible for delivery, we will try our utmost to deliver the products on the date and time arranged. Circumstances beyond our control may however result in unexpected changes to the agreed delivery date and time.
We will only make deliveries where the product can fit into lifts, staircases or through doors. No products will be hoisted over balconies. Kindly insure that the place of delivery is accessible and you have cleared the area for the product prior to delivery together with moving all breakable objects that could be in the way of the delivery team. Should the Weylandts delivery team be requested to ignore the above conditions by the customer, Weylandts will not accept responsibility for damage cause to either the product or the customer’s property.
Any additional delivery costs due to failed deliveries, access problems and /or failure to adhere to the appointment time for the delivery/collection, will be for the customers account.
The person collecting the product must produce the original Weylandts invoice in order for Weylandts to release the product.
Customer’s to ensure that a suitable collection vehicle is utilized in order to accommodate the size of the product in an upright position and to bring the necessary consumables e.g. rope, blankets etc. to stabilize the product during transportation.
We regret we do not offer storage facilities.
In event of your purchase not being collected or delivered within 10 days after the 3 to 4 day lead time, as per invoice, a R100 per day handling fee will be charged for the customers account and must be settled prior to the release of the product.
Guarantees
Proof of purchase is required for the terms of the guarantee policy to come into effect. Guarantees will only be valid when purchases have been paid in full (Homeware and Furniture).
Guarantees are only applicable to items that have been used in a domestic environment and will not apply to items used for commercial purposes (Homeware and Furniture).
Your guarantee provides for the free repair or replacement of any faulty component, provided that the purchaser, at his own cost, deliveries and collects the item concerned to and from Weylandts retails outlet or Distribution Centre.
Upholstered Furniture Guarantee
Upholstered furniture, i.e. sofas, chairs etc. are guaranteed for 2 years from date of purchase in respect of the frame, craftsmanship and filling.
The guarantee does not extend to the fabric used to upholster the item as it is subject to wear and tear associated with domestic use as usage/treatment in the customer`s environment is beyond the manufacturer`s control.
Timber and Leather Guarantee
Timber products are guaranteed for 1 year from date of purchase.
Leather and timber products may have natural markings and colour variations due to the nature of the product. These are the characteristics of a natural product and not defects or signs of damage.
Weylandts guarantee does not extend to the normal wear and tear associated with product in the above paragraph.
All valid claims are subject to assessment by our Customer Service Department and decisions made at the discretion of the Store Manager and / or Customer Service Department.
Refer to the guarantee booklets (please ask your Sales Consultant) relevant to your respective purchases, where applicable.
Imported products Guarantee
All imported products are guaranteed for 1 year from date of purchase.
Exchanges and Store Credits
Weylandts will only accept returned products within 5 days from date of purchase provided that the product is unused and in perfect condition.
All transportation charges, delivery and collection of items incurred will be for the customers account and the return of the items will be subject to a 15% handling fee of the full invoiced amount. The balance will be valid as a store credit for 6 months.
No made to order items will be exchanged or refunded.
Weylandts reserves the right for a Company appointed or Manufacturer Representative to inspect the item before an exchange is considered.
Outstanding balance to be refunded by credit card, EFT or store card.
Refunds in the form of an EFT will be done by our Head Office.
Product Assembled by the Customer
Weylandts will not be liable for any damage to the product or personal injury where the product is purchased unassembled.
Customer Orders
A 50% deposit is required on all orders, which is subject to forfeit if the order is cancelled at any time.
Methods of Payments
Please note that until such time as payment has been made in full, the product remains the property of Weylandts.
EFT (please note the bank statements taken up to 2 - 4 days to reflect payments). Products will only be released for collection / delivery once payments has been received.
Cash.
Credit card.
Appros
All appros are required to be paid in full prior to collection/delivery thereof.
Appros that are not returned within 48 hours are considered sold.
Return of appros will only be valid if the item is returned with proof of purchase and in the condition that it was sold in when collected from the store within 48 hours.
Any balance to be refunded will be done by credit card, store credit or an EFT. We regret no appros for furniture, bedding or artworks.
